A beautiful Garden – 2016.08.31

The Lord will guide you always; He will satify your needs in a sunscorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose water never fail.
Isaiah 58:11
What are normally the goals of a man? What does he like to achieve in his life? He likes to be accepted and loved. He does everything to be please other people, to be dressend according to the latest fashion so that they say: He is a nice person who always is anxious to be recognized and to attract the attention of others in order to be loved. But what happens when he is looking bad, is ill and weak, is getting old, when the success at work is not longer there… what about the good man then? A pile of rubble he is, a wretched person, lonely, left alone without consolation.
The bible describes us another way to be good: Follow Jesus, let Him be your Lord, let Him be King in your heart, obey Him in all matters, be a child of the almighty God then you get recognition, esteem, love, good relationship with other people, joy, piece and fullfillment …, say, everything what all people like to obtain. They only did not want to give up their rights to follow Jesus.
When you live with Jesus and help your neigbour God will lead you. He will fill you with joy and hope, strengthen your soal even in the desert which you also could experience within the concrete jungle of big cities. You are always happy as if you would live in a beautiful garden with many flowers maintained by a good gardener. You are like a spring out of which new power comes, joy and consolation. We know such people who attract us like a magnet. In their presence we feel comfortable, accepted and honored. We notice, that they no longer look at their own good, instead they focus on Jesus and help others. Empowered by Jesus they are able to care for others. The mystery of salvation shines through them.
Yes, so we want to be! We want to entrust ourselves to the great Gardener. Indeed He will pull up much weed, will prune fruit trees even if it hurts. He will sow, water, fertilize as it deems best to Him. He creates a blossoming garden in us in midst of the desert!
Thank You, Jesus! You let me be a blossoming garden! You make me a source of strength, consolation, friendliness, a fountain of life for other people. How wonderful it is that my life has a purpose. How pleasant it is to be loved and valued by You. You are my good Gardener, my Shepherd, my best Friend.
