A mindset like Jesus – 2017.02.15

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:5
Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death- even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name. Therefore, my dear friends, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose beyond your own imagination. Do everything without grumbling and arguing so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life… Rejoice with me!
Jesus did not want to be the great ruler striving for high things by himself. It was God who lifted Him up. Jesus was humble, always satisfied with that what God gave Him. He did not worry about His position and reputation. He talked with tax collectors and prostitutes and even embraced leprosies. He gave all, gave His life for these people. He really was a servant and not “his majesty”. He need not to be concerned about Himself as His Father cared for Him. He could go into the mud and dirt without getting unclean. Sin could not touch Him. He was the Saviour, the good Shepherd and is still today our Advocate, Comforter, Helper who truly loves us.
So let us exercise each day to walk in the same mindset as Jesus Christ to live a life which is pleasing God. In egoism there is no peace only if you follow Jesus. In Him is all identity and harmony which we so desperately are seeking for by attending courses and seminars. Only He can give us these pearls when we follow Him. Humble yourself be there for each other! Try to see Jesus in your neighbor and serve him. God surely will give you peace and joy for that.
Thank You, Jesus, You have shown me how I can live a life which is pleasing God. I will enter into Your footsteps. I will humble myself to honor You and to be a blessing for my neighbor. How wonderful that You are helping me thereby.
