Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Psalm 51, 10
How quickly we are falling back in old ways of thinking and actions. How easily we are entangled again in quarrels and disputes on the road, at work, and at home. Sometimes it seems that Gods love for us had had no effect on us. When we verify our heart we see our pride, our jealousy, our wickedness, our judging others and many other big and small failings. Thus one might be in great despair. Therefore we should go again before the throne of God to entrust Him our old heart in order to receive a new one, a heart like Jesus has. In addition we need a renewed and steadfast spirit which assure loyalty to God. How wonderful it is, that Jesus is forgiving all sins. He forgets what has happened yesterday. He wish to start this day with us with renewed and fresh faith. It is His intention and promise to give us a new heart which is one with Him and a new and steadfast spirit.
<em>Yes, Father, I need a new pure heart, a heart which is one with You, and a renewed, steadfast spirit! Thank you that you are forgiving my all my debts and all my small and narrow thinking. You are willing to walk with me again this day. What have I done to derserve this? Its only Your grace, Your love!
