All knowledge – 2015.08.26

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. … Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.1 Corinthians 13: 2.4
Jesus is this love. He is really patient and kind to me. He alone has all wisdom and knowledge, He does not lose His temper, does not boast and is not proud.
Love is always looking for something which it could like. God has created man that He can love him. The men are in His image; therefore they also yearn for something which they can love. The ability of love is getting perverted, if it is all about themselves in men. Surely this is not the freedom of love, which God has provided for us.
There are preachers, pastors, and theologians, also laymen who love knowledge. They read the bible, they study the exegesis and their heads are full of good and correct interpretations. However, they argue about the truth, or put their knowledge higher than that of others. But the love is not jealous, does not boast, is not proud. It would be nice if these Christians would find their way back to Christ and use their knowledge with humility, patience, and kindness as Christ would do it. Otherwise they would be a deterrence of the gospel.
Jesus, however, really knows everything, has all knowledge and yet He does not impose same to anybody. He does not boast, is not proud. In verse 9 Jesus says that we know in part, all our knowledge is always rather limited, no matter how wise it sounds. Therefore we rather should not be proud of our knowledge.
Only if we are filled with the love of Jesus we will be able to love. Then we slowly will be transformed in His image. Then the power of the wrong gods will be broken, the egoism, the fixation to a hobby, the passion for a dog, addictions, self-gratifications and much more.
We then shall be released. Then we can be humble, forbearing, patient, kind, friendly ….
Thank you, Father in heaven, You love me! You have created me because You love me, You wanted me! Even this knowledge is too wonderful for me and too high, it is above my comprehension. But I will receive Your love and sun myself in it. You are my Father and I am Your child.
