All our sins – 2015.04.19

He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; He took it away, nailing it to the cross.
Colossians 2:14
I love my two kids very much. Yet, I get angry sometimes when they do not stick to the rules, when they quarrel and fight, when they come home too late in the evening, or when they scattered their toys and do not reset them. Indeed, in this situation I may get angry. However, what would me harm much more is, if they would ignore me, if they take for granted all my love and do not honour same in saying thank you or by throwing back a friendly warm glance, simply nothing, or if they do not wish me a good night and have nothing told me about all what they experienced during the day! Yes, that would hurt me really, for I love them so deeply. The same is happening with our Father in heaven. It is significant for ourselves to obey His rules, as they are good for us. We hurt Him very much if we ignore Him with a stony heart. He fervently wish to care for us and we show Him only the cold shoulder and no gratitude. It aggrieves Him when His children are interested in everything else but not in Him. This sin is the greatest of all trespasses, this stony heart, ingratitude, and ignorance. Just as Jesus cried over Jerusalem, so our Father is crying over us sometimes.None of our sins gives Him more headaches as our ignorance. All other trespasses He simply nails to the cross if we want it. It is our lukewarm heart which saddens Him.The half-heartedness causes many sins: We start to argue and think that we are more than our sisters knowing everything better. We talk bad things about them and place us above them as almost righteous and holy. When you do not see your faults anymore then go to Jesus: Read Matthew 25 about the judgement. There it is said that for everything good you fail to do there is judgement. Yes, how many good things we can ever do? A 24 hours day is not sufficient for that. We are indeed not perfect as the law stipulates and therefore are sinners, a failure ( if you consider it seriously). Therefore do not think you are better than others, Jesus does not like that not at all.Thank you, Jesus, You nailed all my sins to the cross, canceled the written codes with its regulations! I am so glad and now feel free. How else I would ever be able to put things right again? Thank you, You are my Saviour, Friend, and Redeemer! Please help me that Ir will not forget how much You have done for me so that I never will be arrogant towards my sisiters. And please fill me with Your Spirit which enable me to love the Father with all my heart.Bible Reading today: Psalm 72: 1-19
