For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things.
Colossians 1:19f
The fullness of God includes all treasures of wisdom and knowledge, love and mercy, patience and gentleness, grace and holiness, …. simply everything what is good and righteous. In Jesus we find all when we read His life testimony. We see Gods character in Him. Overwhelming His love, His humility full of grace! Ravishing how Jesus lived and acted! His words were powerful. He did what He said. His words were original, mighty, creative, life changing, able to smash strongholds of darkness.
Jesus came to bring peace, piece with himself, piece with the neigbours, piece with God. He created unconditional appeasement . He reconciled God with man meaning that the kingdom of God was near. He desires to penetrate peoples hearts with His love, to be present in their thoughts, words, and deeds. Through His commandments all idols, all false gods of this world should fall: Avarice, greed, pride, egoism, hedonism, deadly aggression, religious fanaticism, self-righteousness… all what is opposing God.
Also within us there are areas and habits which are not in accordance with Gods words. He wants to transform us. He wants to dwell in us with His fullness and power. I get dizzy when I imagine that God Himself dwells in me with His total fullness and power. At the same time I realize that there is no perfection, that I am far away from Gods expectation. My sin and imperfection, my lack of humility, my pride, my self-righteousness, my love for pleasure and much more are blocking the work of God in me.
Oh Lord, sanctify me, take my heart and draw me near to You! Your wonderful character should shine through me. I wish to be like You! Thank You, You do not let me fall, maintain your hope in me, have patience and will reach the goal with me.
