Bless the Lord!!! – 2015.01.01

Bless the Lord, my soul,
and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the Lord, my soul,
and never forget any of his benefits.
Psalm 103, 1-2.
He continues to forgive all your sins, he continues to heal all your diseases, he continues to redeem your life from the Pit, and he continuously surrounds you with gracious love and compassion. He keeps satisfying you with good things, and he keeps renewing your youth like the eagle’s. The Lord continuously does what is right, executing justice for all who are being oppressed. … The Lord is compassionate and gracious, patient, and abundantly rich in gracious love. He does not maintain a dispute continuously or remain angry for all time. He neither deals with us according to our sins, nor repays us equivalent to our iniquity. As high as heaven rises above earth, so his gracious love strengthens those who fear him. As distant as the east is from the west, that is how far he has removed our sins from us. As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. … His righteous acts extend to their children’s children, to those who remember to observe his precepts. … Bless the Lord, you angels who belong to him, you mighty warriors who carry out his commands, who are obedient to the sound of his words. Bless the Lord, all his heavenly armies, his ministers who do his will. Bless the Lord, all his creation, in all the places of his dominion. Bless the Lord, my soul. (from psalm 103)
When God is close joy fills us! When we bless and thank Him we see more of His wonderful power and better understand His ways with us people. Yes, blessing and gratitude pull up! It is the best way out of bitterness and curmudgeon. Look not always down to the ground to the dirt. Have your eyes on the Lord who wonderfully rules everything! Snowdrops grow even after worst snowstorm outbraving winter – messengers of spring! Do it like minister from Ethiopia who heard the Gospel, understood it and was baptized. And then: … he went on his way rejoicing.
The joy in the Lord is good medicine for our body. HE puts to order a lot of things when we devote ourselves to Him fully, look for Him and look up thankfully, thank and trust Him. We are filled with power and strength, nothing can conquer us as long as we are salvaged in Him.
HE will surely lead us in 2015 as well as a strong shepherd leads his beloved flock. HE knows where are quiet waters and the best pasture. When the enemies riot HE prepares a rich table before us. Goodness and mercy will follow me all my life and in 2015 as well.
Yes, Lord, I’m so thankful that You lead me so good this year. You were there always. It is so wonderful to be with You! I want to bless You, to praise You and to have thankful heart. I want to trust You in new year. Because You still are the Lord – faithful and unchangeable. You always have the last word! When will You come again? My heart longs for You.Bible reading for today: Psalm 103
