Because you are His sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out: Abba, Father.
Galatians 4:6

„… So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir.”

Wonderful verses! One notices the freedom that a child of God has! No longer a slave of religion, rituals and traditions, no longer a slave of bonds and egoism, no longer a stubborn fulfillment of the law … no, child of God, happy, redeemed from guilt, unencumbered, without stress and worries ….. Wonderful!!
As little children, we trusted our father with everything, and he was proud of us. Now God is this strong Father who gives protection and security and is proud of us. And we are His children who trust Him.
Certainly, there are many problems. But there are not only problems! Take a walk outside, into nature, into the forest or to the sea! Leave the problems at home and let them shrink to their normal size: little balls of dust. What are our problems compared to God’s strength and love? How good it is to have a heavenly Father!
It is difficult for us alone to recognize and love this heavenly Father. Faith in this invisible, well-meaning Father is almost impossible for us. We prefer to see God as creator and judge; – this image seems to be stuck in us. That is why God sent the Spirit of His beloved Son Jesus into our hearts, the Spirit who shows us the Father and also the Son, who helps us to believe and trust, who shows us the love of God and overflows us with this love, who makes us capable of loving God and accepting Him as Father. Unfortunately, we cannot do it alone, we need the Spirit of Jesus.
Even when Jesus was an adult, the relationship between Father and Son continued. God was always His Papa, Abba, whom He trusted boundlessly. It should be the same with us: God is our “Papa”, Abba! We do not need Christian idols and superleaders, but the direct connection to the heavenly Father. Then we are children.

Thank You, Jesus! You have cleared the way and thought of everything so that we can recognize and love the heavenly Father! Thank You for the redemption from all darkness! Thank You, Jesus!
