All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in him.
Colossians 2, 3
Actually, we know: God knows everything! – And yet we ask Him so rarely. We are accumulating only "head knowledge" about God, but divine wisdom and knowledge in life are missing. But God wants to be there for us, from morning to evening and from evening until morning. When the questions and problems are too big, we pray; but we have not learned to ask God in the very small, everyday things. But He wants to be the father who accompanies his children in everyday life. We want to learn it to include Jesus in our everyday life. And we want to learn to hear His quiet, gentle voice. How much time, stress and force has it always took me, to look for things. But then the idea came up to ask Jesus: Where’s that thing? You know it yet! Please, show me ! Since then, I find again almost everything without any hectic and desperate search. In most cases immediately, sometimes I have to wait a bit and some things are gone forever; – Apparently I do not need it as necessary as I had assumed. This small prayer to the Lord Jesus, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are, saves me a lot of time and stress. And my confidence to Him is growing bigger every time. I want to encourage you to integrate Jesus in everyday life. There are so many little problems that make us stress. Let us rather turn to Jesus, let’s praise Him because He is the Almighty Lord, and entrust Him our affairs. He has promised (John 11:40): “Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you will see God’s glory?” We want to learn to benefit from the treasures of heaven. Jesus likes to give those who ask Him! We want His wisdom and knowledge in our daily lives!
Thank you, Jesus, that You are there! Not in a distant heaven, but in the here and now! You are not only responsible for the big things, but also for the odds and ends that often cause great trouble and stress. In You are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Help me to hear Your voice!
