Devotions – 2015.10.10

I raise my eyes toward the mountains.
Where will my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.
Psalms 121, 1f

This morning it was very hectic, there were no silent minutes in which I could see the Lord. Everyone wanted something from me and I immediately had a lot in my mind. Since I realized, how important the silence in the morning along with my Lord, is.
In the morning I lift up my eyes to Him, my Savior, Redeemer, Helper and Friend. And He puts His hand on me and says: Hey, I’m here today, very close to you. I will not leave you and never forget you. I am the Lord who has made heaven and earth; – Should anything be too difficult to me? – And so I can start the day courageous and strengthened. Yes, on Him I set up my eyes.
When I only see the mountains of work ahead of me and all the big problems that should be solved – then I loose all the courage; even anxiety and depression can be adjusted. I am so glad to have a friend and helper for all the big and little things! Yes, HIM I can entrust everything to, and He makes it wonderful. In Him I come to rest, and with Him I can manage the day well. Thank you, Lord, that You are there!

Jesus, You are the Lord who created heaven and earth and preserves everything. You have the power to be turn all things in my life for the better. Yes, You can trust me; – For this day and for all my life. You are wonderful!
