(He) who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us,

As Paul and his team were on the way following Jesus they experienced many hardships. But Jesus saves them from all hardships, because they trusted fully in Him. Jesus comforts them in the middle of the hardships, He was really really close to them. They always received the strength that they needed. Despite the awful circumstances He filled them with peace and joy, so that they could give Him praise about all things even in prison. Yes Jesus works wonderfully in our hearts and circumstances. He is the Lord.
One should not remember all the bad things, but this morning I did remember some things. However above that stood the knowledge that He has pulled me out of this. And so my heart was glad and I can thank God for everything that He has done for me. And I received the assurance that He has also will save me from all evils that will come in the future. Even death is not a problem for Him; He is there, He carries us through and takes us in His strong, loving hands. He is the God of comfort; His comfort is there even in our hardest times.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. V3-4
Thank you Father that you are the comforter! You have mercy over me and take every pain away. You are with me, lay on me your loving hand and speak words of comfort. You take every care, make every harm into good and give new hope and strength. You are really the God of all mercy and the God of all comfort.
