God’s kingdom isn’t about eating food and drinking but about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

There are still many congregations and churches where "food rules" are in force. This and that one can not eat,it must be avoided, because it is sin. So they say and establish it with good grounds. Either Christian or …. Jesus does not want that we cause disputes with such regulations. He is the Lord who speaks with each of His children. But He also does not want that someone is so free that his behaviour seduces other’s to sin.
This and other verses have launched a development in Christianity, which is really not good. They have limited the kingdom of God, His rule on a spiritual sector. The body and mind are indeed influenced by the spirit, but not directly from the Lord. This results in two worlds that have emerged in Christians. But Jesus is the Savior, through and through. He redeems the body, spirit and mind and emotions and will and character and so on. He is the Savior in every way!
Jesus wants to renew our will. He wants to give us a new, Him-like character. He wants to fill our feelings with joy and peace. He wants our body as dwelling place. We shall belong to Him with skin and hair, and not only partially.
He is the Savior. He wants to heal our body. Therefore we may ask, for He is worried about it.
He wants His temple in our hearts. That’s why we have the power, to throw away all evil in His name.
He wants to make us totally new! – And fill us with His Spirit. Then real life is there, heavenly joy, forgiveness, mercy, and peace. Bitterness, anxiety and wickedness disappear. Humility is spreading, where selfishness prevailed. Love rules the kingdom of God, not greed, lies and cheating. Let yourself be taken by the love of God!
Thank you, Jesus, You are my savior! You care for me in every way. Thank You that I can rely on You in every thing and You surround me with love. In Your kingdom I’m happy. Because Your joy and Your peace reign there!
