Hallelujah, also in Injustice
Let my whole being praise the Lord!
I will praise the Lord with all my life;
I will sing praises to my God as long as I live.
Don’t trust leaders;
don’t trust any human beings –
there’s no saving help with them!
Psalms 146, 1-3
God wants us to completely rely on Him. He is to be our helper, our provider, our judge and our father. If we have been wrongly treated, we tend to our right to fight. To that we sometimes use any means and we become vindictive and opinionated and place ourselves above the law. For our right we may perhaps even lying! Such a fight for justice costs a lot of energy, strength and nerves. Of course we should not have to put up with everything, but God sets personal limits for us. – He wants to be our judge.
He wants that we are always fine. But with a tough dispute often restlessness and insomnia comes – it’s all about our right. And where is God then? Maybe we want to make Him our ally in the battle …
He has promised that we will have food and drink, a roof over your head, work and clothes. He has not promised that we will have a palace and a fat roast every day. We should only have enough and even something more to share with others.
Happy is the man who can put up with injustice and feels secure in God. On this man is all the blessing of God! For God does not stand by idly when His children are wrongly treated. But He exactly sees where to look for help: At other people or at Him. Therefore: Do not wail your pain to others and do not seek their sympathy or their help. Wail in silence before God! – And trust Him that He will bear you correctly and well. He has promised, and He will keep it.
Thank You, Father, with You I am safe and secure. Even if I am wronged, You’re there and care for me. I can trust in You! You have ways to compensate for my loss and to richly provide me. Yes, Father, I want to praise You any time!Praise the Lord!Let my whole being praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with all my life; I will sing praises to my God as long as I live. Don’t trust leaders; don’t trust any human beings – there’s no saving help with them! Their breath leaves them, then they go back to the ground. On that very same day, their plans die too. The person whose help is the God of Jacob – the person whose hope rests on the Lord their God is truly happy! God: the maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, God: who is faithful forever, who gives justice to people who are oppressed, who gives bread to people who are starving! The Lord: who frees prisoners. The Lord: who makes the blind see. The Lord: who straightens up those who are bent low. The Lord: who loves the righteous. The Lord: who protects immigrants, who helps orphans and widows, but who makes the way of the wicked twist and turn! The Lord will rule forever! Zion, your God will rule from one generation to the next! Praise the Lord!
