Hallelujah Christians  –  2019.11.18

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
James 1, 6

It starts like this: if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
This text is actually about wisdom, which God likes to give. When we ask Him for wisdom, He cannot say no! Some extend the promise to everything else that they lack and want. And it is true: God gladly gives everything that is necessary to us. But He is not a wish machine that wants to fulfill all our wishes. He gives wisdom, but wisdom as He pleases. He will not increase intelligence. Health He gives as He pleases. But He will never heal everything, not every little thing, and we Christians will also die once. We live here on earth and everything is only a reflection, a foretaste of heaven. Or will heaven be here on earth now already? – No.
I am glad that God gives so much. Health in many parts, answers to prayers, words of knowledge, prophecies, money, cars ….. I know, HE gives it to me when I need it! I am very, very grateful for that!! But if He does not heal something or does not give something, He has His reasons, then there is no need to be desperate, no need to threaten God that I will fall away from faith, then there need not be any discussion with Him as to why He has to do it, and I also no need to seek guilt. – Unfortunately it is commonly said: your faith was not strong enough, which is why you are still ill. Such nonsense! (Or the other way around: the faith of the person praying was not strong enough.)
I am full of joy and full of faith that God provides me with everything. Money, health and everything else. I am safe and secure in this faith. There is no threat of failure or guilt. I don’t need to produce faith and exert myself. I am, I am in Him!
I am not one of those Hallelujah Christians who promise everything and demand everything from God; and then unfortunately are disappointed. They proclaim, command and shout, but do no more than normal Christians. They need their leaders and try to be like them and constantly call out Hallelujah. We are silent, seek the Lord and work as He wants – and miracles often happen, Hallelujah.

Thank You Jesus, in Your hand I am safe. I know You are good and do good, therefore I may ask. How good You are to me!! How many miracles You have already performed! – and everything only by grace … Thank You!
