Hearing Gods´ voice – 2017.06.22

There came a cloud and overshadowed them, and from the cloud came a voice, This is my beloved Son, in Him you shall hear.
Gospel of Mark 9: 7
We rarely hear God’s voice directly. When Jesus was with His favorite disciples on the Mount of Transfiguration, they heard God’s voice from the cloud; – and had great fear.
But for the disciples and for us it is very rare that we just hear God’s voice. These are very special moments that we normally never forget.
I have heard only a few times the Lord talk to with me directly. But, and this is the question of how we listen to him then? How can He give us instructions? We pray to Him, and how do we hear the responses?
In this little verse above, we see the answer: Through Jesus we have listened!
To know God’s will, we have the Bible. We have fellowship with one another, so that one can tell the others about God. We have the Gospels in which Jesus’ words are written. And we have the Holy Spirit who gives us the words of God and make Jesus alive. God speaks to our hearts.
Some wait constantly, that they get a tremendous revelation of God. Previously they want to do nothing, not dare to take a single step. Even Moses met the Lord only once and was allowed to see the Lord only from behind. The Lord is holy, light and true, we endure His presence not well.
Because we are men deformed from sin to God seldom met directly. He prefers to use other ways to not to overwhelm us. We have listened to His Son Jesus!
In Jesus He gets very close to us. He became man, and with us on an equal footing. That’s why we want to hear and read what Jesus says and wants. That is why we read the Gospels and the Acts and the Epistles in the New Testament of the Bible. Since He speaks to our hearts. Because He gives us instructions for the day and for our lives. It is just great that God so tangible, so real, so of course we meet through Jesus !! Yes, through Jesus we hear God’s voice. In Him we want to hear and to Him we will follow !!
Thank you, Jesus! You’re come very close to us. You’ve humiliated yourself, and you became human. Through this you can understand us, and we can understand you. Yes, I need your closeness, your speaking, your wisdom! Thank You for talking to me through the Bible, through your Word, by the brothers and by the Holy Spirit. You’re really alive!

  1. It’s important to be listening to the RIGHT voice….
Jesus “The Good Shepherd” is my Pastor
Jesus is The Way to God
The real Jesus of the real Apostles
But false teachers come and pervert God’s Word
With twists and turns and jostles
“My sheep listen to my voice”
Jesus said for us all to hear
“I know them, and they follow me”
He doesn’t run when a wolf appears
He “calls his own sheep by name”
It’s not the witchcraft of a distant stranger
Not just repeating the magic words
And then thinking you are out of danger
Our Father in Heaven wants to talk to you
He can hear you loud and clear
And He sent His Son Jesus to inhabit the earth
So that all who want God can draw near
    Real prayer is a conversation
At least that’s what God wants it to be
We talk in the garden in the cool of the day
When we are part of His family
    Only Jesus never disobeyed God
    He’s the only immaculate conception
The Holy Spirit comes in His Name
Don’t listen to the voice of deception
    If a false apostle preaches
I became your father, imitate me
He doesn’t speak the words of God
It’s just Boss Paul the Pharisee
And if a heretic now claims to be
    The Church’s universal pastor
    His words should be ignored
They lead to nothing but disaster
Jesus did not just teach The Way
He IS The Way, my friend
    Repeating the mantra of Marypaulhammad
Is nothing but a dead end
Bibliography – all “quotes” in “quotation marks” are the words of Jesus in the Gospel of John chapter 10
