Hope in adversity

Hope in adversity

The needy will not always be neglected;
the hope of the poor will not be crushed forever.
Psalms 9, 18

The Lord knows His people! He knows everything about them, about their situation, their hope and anguish. He really cares about them! After all they are His children! Therefore, we may be certain: our misery will not last forever, our hope is not crushed! Even if your situation is hopeless, the Lord will free you yet. He has ways and means that we can not even dream of. He is the Lord.
That is why we now want to have to look up to Him and thank Him. We want to praise Him, for He will have mercy on us, just as a father has compassion on his children. We do not always see the hopelessness and the difficulties and therefore get depression. We know that He is there, in the middle of our misery and He will save us when He says: It’s time, this is it! He always has the last word!
Paul and Silas were flogged and got imprisoned. Their hands and feet were stuck in a block of wood so that they could not even treat their sore back. It took several hours, until their faith in the living God again got the upper hand. At midnight they began to praise God and the other prisoners were listening to them. A hopeless situation, but a strong faith in the Lord who can do anything! And God really responded on the praise and liberated His children by an earthquake. The doors flew open and the chains fell off. Yes, God works miracles when we praise Him!
The greater the need, the greater is the miracle of salvation. And the greater our thanks and our trust in the Lord, who never abandons His children. We want to hold on to Him loyally and firmly and with the joy given by the Spirit of God, we want to praise Him, no matter how difficult our situation may be. He always makes His word come true and will never leave us. He, our strong hero and savior has arrived! Hallelujah!

Thank You Father, that You never forget me! You are with me in times of need and save me. You are my rock and my hope is not in vain. How good that You are with me, my helper, friend, comforter and father! I trust You.
