In the desert – 2015.04.09
The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58;11
There are many Christians who have the feeling that God has forgotten them. Or they fell that they are parked on the holding lane. Or they are so involved in their work and other responsibilities that they cannot breathe. They are lacking a fresh wind of faith! Especially older people feel that way. In the church there is often no recognition for them. At home they have difficulties. The work demands much. The children are going their own way. What is there to live for? As Christians they feel useless.
God has a totally different opinion. He wants to slowly change our life and to wants to become the only centre. All that our thoughts revolve around is to be put aside. Freedom and joy of faith are to come forth. If we seek him wholeheartedly and are open our thoughts and actions to his change, he will bring us to blossom. Not only young people are valuable to the Lord. He especially needs the older and more experienced and mature people to lead the younger ones.
It may be that you are in a barren land without food and water. Only haze sand and dust. But if we go to the source and draw generously from it, water of life will flow into the land and it will be a well-watered garden, a oasis of life in the midst of the desert. Gods promises are tru for you, but you need to strive for them with strength.!
Thank you Jesus that you lead everyone, who wants to be lead.. When we are in the dead-end and do not know how to get out of the situation you know the way. I can praise you, even if the situation is not totally solved, because your word is always true. Thank you that I have much worth to you, you have a good word and a good place for me where I can be of great use. You are my good shepherd.
