In the Morning – 2015.05.08

The Lord God gave me an educated tongue
to know how to respond to the weary
with a word that will awaken them in the morning.
God awakens my ear in the morning to listen,
as educated people do.
Isaiah 50:4
When the calves come out to pasture in spring, there is no stopping them. They start running as if they were crazy and hardly come to a stop. Similar to this some people "storm" into a new day: They just start running, eager for action and full of energy. Others are more anxious: What problems will this day bring?
For all is true: This is the day which the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad, because He is there, takes us by the hand and leads us through well, yes, He will bring us to the goal!
But we do not want to start running somewhere like the calves, but go His way at His hand. Then many hardships will be spared.
God does not want that we stuff us with everything in the morning: the news, loud, hot music, rush on the way to work, quarrel at breakfast …. He wants to use our lives meaningful. Therefore He asks us: Open your ears for me. I will tell you words of love. I want to encourage you.
Today I am with You and it will be good! He wants us to immediately lift our eyes on Him, thus the day succeeds. He wants to strengthen us and encourage, so that we can encourage others. That’s why we’re here. He wants to give us a constructive language so that our words are strong for others and they really get courage.
My kids do not go out of the house in the morning, when we have not prayed before. That’s not a long prayer, but very important for them. Then they feel safe and strong, because their God is there for them!
This relationship with God even at the beginning of the day sets the course for the whole day. Then God will bless us and we can become a blessing for others.
Thank you, Jesus, there is so much reason to thank! Yes, You are there for me, take me by the hand and guide me through the day. Bless me and let me be a blessing to others! It’s nice to go through life on Your mighty hand. You are my King and wonderful friend.
