„Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan,
I will now arise,” says the Lord.
“I will protect them from those who malign them.”
Psalm 12, 6
Jesus knows that the righteous were gladly exploited and suppressed. The liars and cheaters try to lie to the righteous and to cheat. It would be easy for Him to wipe out the bad guys. But then HE would have to destroy all humans, wouldn’t HE?
He has promised: I will now arise! I will bring salvation to the weak, the poor, the despised. This promise will be fulfilled by God. Our salvation is not in prosperity, vacation, good work, big car, but in Jesus alone. HE cares for everything; HE refunded my loss; HE fills me with deep joy; HE comforts and encourages me.
I prefer to live with Him and to enjoy His proximity, than a life of lies and deceit. He is so wonderful, so loving, so gentle, and patient with me! HE helps me, when I can not carry on. HE provides me with everything I need. HE protects me in danger. HE takes away some disease. HE leads me even through death. HE is the strongest and my help! Why should I get involved again in lies and deceit? Why should I fear lies and deceit? If I were deceived and lied to, HE would refund me. Yes, I am completely safe and secure with Him. Of course we should be wise as serpents, says Jesus, but also harmless as doves. Then the blessing and the presence of God will be on my life.
Thank you, Jesus, You bring me through everything. Even if I suffer loss, you’re there. You comfort, give courage and often refund what was stolen from me. You have the abundance and take care of me. Yes, you can trust me, even if others are against me. Thank you, Jesus, for your blessings and for your presence. My heart finds rest with you.
