Jesus says:
I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.
Matthew 28, 18
Jesus knows here on earth we have a lot of difficulties and struggles. We have fears and concerns. We have very limited power. We are actually totally dependent on Him as little children on their parents. He knows it all and that’s why He assures us once again: I have all the power.
This should encourage us. If we are safe in Jesus we ensure the greatest power in the world is at our side. We are under the protection of the powerful Lord! – Yesterday I saw a man in the rain with an umbrella, on it was printed: God is my protection. Yes, as long as he remains below the umbrella, otherwise he will be wet.
Jesus can set all forces in the sky in motion. And he can govern everything here on earth. For He has bought us at the cross! We are His property!
When God created the earth, He gave it to the people. And the man lost it to the enemy. Long darkness was upon the earth, and the enemy could almost do what he wanted. But then came Jesus, the perfect man. He did not listen to the voice of the enemy, but remained faithful to God. So he was able to reclaim the earth for God on the cross. Since then, the kingdom of God here on earth, and we are his citizens! Wherever we Christians glorify God as is His kingdom! There he ruled and no longer the enemy. Certainly, it is still war between light and darkness, and the enemy is trying hard for us to make life. But our God is stronger and saves us, time and time again. He has given the power of Jesus Christ, who is now our king. He rules gorgeously, powerfully and for ever!
Thank you, Jesus, You are our king! We place ourselves under your banner and want to fight for you. You are the hope of the world! Thank you, you have all the power to save me. You will reign gloriously and get me through the day today. You are my God!
