Maranatha – Our Lord, come!
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you!
1 Corinthians 16, 22f.

HE who testifies to these things says: Yes, I am coming soon. –
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people!
Revelation 22, 20f.

The Lord Jesus wants to come soon and take His church, His beloved bride, to Himself. Already He is quite impatient. He has a great, great longing for her! He does not see her as she is, but as He made her: without spots or wrinkles, without any sin, washed clean by His blood, without failure. She is holy, pure and beautiful for Him. He loves her dearly!
Now it is time for the church to get ready. She has to be a little more careful about ownership, about the difference between mine and not-mine. She must become a little more generous with finances and not stingily close her purse; – God is generous too, and the bride should reflect His character. Dull and dirty thoughts belong in Jesus’ purification. Envy, pride, selfishness, laziness, bitterness, self-pity and unbelief are to disappear from our lives. The love of God is to reign there, and we are to live out that love without restraint……
When is the church ready????? It is still so cold, so uncaring, so stiff and unmerciful …..
Jesus is consumed with longing and love for His bride. And she? – It is time to return to the first love and to love Jesus hotly and dearly again.
The more we contemplate Him and His great work on us, the more we see what the Lord is and what He is like, the stronger our knowledge and love for Him will become. The more we suffer from our present condition and seek refuge in Him, the stronger our longing becomes. The more He can realise Himself in us, the more He fills our hearts.
HE wants us to rekindle this hot love for HIM! It is not enough for Him if we want to be perfect and holy and forget love. He waits for our longing so that He can finally come.
And if we don’t wake up? Then He will come one day when we no longer expect Him ….. will we like it?

Oh Lord, I long for You so much! In Your presence every pain and guilt and guilty conscience vanishes. You give my heart peace and joy, courage and hope, and with You I become joyful! Oh, it does my soul so much good to be with You! Come soon, O my Lord!!!
