Matthew 28,18

Matthew 28,18

I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth!
Matthew 28,18

These are the realities! Jesus reigns, He is the greatest power in heaven and on earth! Sometimes we just see, how injustice reigns; the look for the larger reality is obstructed for us. But the heavenly reality, that we don’t see, is much more powerful and larger than the earthly, limited reality. Since His resurrection Jesus is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords! In the Book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible, is much written about the power of Jesus. He is the one who has defeated sin, death and devil; – They can not harm us anymore. He sits on the throne at the right hand of God and reigns. All knees in heaven bow down before the Lord right now and every knee on earth will bow down when they see Him on the throne. There are so many who stand against Jesus. They do not accept Him as the Lord, the Redeemer. But from His throne in heaven the Lord laughs and mocks their feeble plans (Psalms 2,4).
God has raised Jesus above all else, has put Him above all visible and invisible powers, because He was faithful to God until death. Therefore God has restored Him to life and sat Him on the throne right beside Him. Jesus was the sacrificial lamb that was slain for our sin. He wanted to acquire a people, that loves Him, that follows Him faithfully and call out His name to the ends of the earth. And He is faithful to His people. In verse 20 He says:And I will be with you always, to the end of the age. We want to praise and worship this mighty God and King, Jesus Christ. We want to trust Him, for He is risen and we will arise too. He is with us every day and watches over us. He is with His people!

Jesus, sometimes I become very disheartened when I see the injustice around me. But in reality You are the Lord. You hold my life in Your hands. When I look at You and trust You, I find new courage. Because You are the Lord in heaven and on earth. I want to praise You and my heart will sing to You! For You are with me, You comfort me and give me strength. Someday I will be with You, in Your glorious kingdom and You will wipe away every tear. You are my faithful Lord!
