My Home – 2017.03.09

“Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”
Luke 2, 49
When Jesus was twelve years old, Mary and Joseph took Him with them to the temple. As they walked back home, Jesus stayed in the Temple, and talked with the scribes. His parents searched for him desperately and found him after three days in the temple. Jesus was amazed that they were looking for him and said the above. But He was obedient to His parents and went back with them.
Jesus knew where he belonged: In His Father’s house. There is his real home. This is certainly does not mean a stone building and all possible pomp, but the place where the father is. There is acceptance, affection, love, compassion, forgiveness, kindness, gratitude and praise, music, dance and art and tender mercies. There is heat and light and never be bordom!
A young man was two years in India and returned home pretty run down and without a penny. He could not even shout. He was one day standing outside the door. When his mother saw him, she immediately took him in his arms and rejoiced that he was back home. The father put his arm and his shoulder and said: Glad you’re here again!
Another son came back to his parents and the mother did not recognize him. The father pulled him into the house, gave him first a bath and then wanted to make a reasonable man of him. But both were not warm, not friendly, but wanted the young man in form that pleased them. The son did not stay long at home …
If anyone comes to his heavenly Father, then he reigns in heaven only joy! Nobody sees all the dirt and dust, each already looks full of hope, what will become of him. Especially the father, surrounding him with kindness, listening to him for hours, proves his closeness and patience constantly and really answers the prayers of His new child. He would be so happy about his new child, as an earthly father rejoices at the birth of his child. (I myself had been ecstatic, as my first child was born-. I almost caused an accident, I was so overwhelmed with happiness!)
Yes, come back home to the Father, He is waiting for you! Do not be ashamed longer because of all the dirt on your clothes! The Lord will wash them clean, HE forgives any sin. He is looking forward to you !!
Thank you, Father, that I can be with you! Yes, with you I feel comfortable and secure. You do not condemn me. You do not judge me, but you lift me up again! My place is with you, that is my home.
