From birth  –  2019.09.2019

Yet you brought me out of the womb;
you made me trust in you, even at my
mother’s breast.
From birth I was cast on you;
Yet from my mother’s womb you have
been my God.
Psalm 22, 10f.

This psalm is a vision of Jesus’ death on the cross. Much is already described in detail here, almost 1000 years before the crucifixion. And the verse above first of all refers to Jesus. But we can also claim it for ourselves!
When I hear the biographies of many Christians, I realize that many people think that God already had His fingers in the pie at birth. He wanted them and created them, formed them and made them. He watched over them and intervened when necessary. It may be the same with non-Christians, but they would not thank God for it, but stupid coincidence. Unfortunately, they cannot see these connections.
I know of myself that God chose me before birth to be His child. He held His hand over me during pregnancy so that nothing bad would happen to me. He brought help and I saw the light of the world. I was the 5th wheel on the wagon in the family, but HE made up for everything because He said Yes to me. Already as a child in the midst of our clan, which knew nothing of Jesus, He gave me the firm knowledge: God is there. And at a young age I found Him. He took me through the chaotic time of puberty and let me feel His love. My ways to this day are marked by the love of a heavenly Father.
Many Christians can say as follows, or similar: He created me, He wanted me. He has held His strong hand over me to this day. He has guided me on His ways, sometimes with severity, sometimes with patience, but always purposefully towards Jesus. He never gave up on me. He has never forgotten me.
For all this there are many examples and events where I noticed: He is there, He loves me.
How good this knowledge is: He is there, He accepts me, He leads me the right way, even in the mist.
That is why I thank my God with all my heart! That is why I trust Him more and more! That is why I am looking forward to Him!!

Thank You Jesus, You are my God who never forgets me. I am worth a lot to You. You take care of every little thing in my life and will also help me through this day. Thank You, You are here!!

Weeds and Harvest – 2019.09.09

Weeds and Harvest – 2019.09.09

“Do you want us to go and pull up the weeds?” they asked Jesus. “No”, he answered, “because as you gather the weeds you might pull up some of the wheat along with them.”
Matthew 13, 29f

A man sowed good seed in his field. But at night, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat. And as the wheat grew, the weeds came through. The servants asked the landlord: Sir, it was good seed you sowed in your field; where did the weeds come from? He said: An enemy has done this. The servants said to him: Do you want us to go and gather them? But the landowner didn’t want it and told them: No, because if you gather the weeds, you’ll pull up the wheat along with them. Let both grow side by side until the harvest. And at harvesttime I’ll say to the harvesters, “First gather the weeds and tie them together in bundles to be burned. But bring the wheat into my barn.”
God has a lot o patience! He guards and cares for every little plant and blesses it, so that it gets large and fertile. But the enemy is jealous and envious and sows weeds; – People who do not want to listen to God and go their own ways stubbornly; People who decide what is good and what is evil; People who do not belong to God. Often I have asked God to “take away” such a human. I saw how much evil he did to others, how he tried to seduce God’s church or exploited and cheated others, or even caused strife and wars. But God would not listen to my prayer. He always told me that He also loved this man and wanted him to be saved. I always had to be ashamed of my impatience and pray for these “poor” people. God showed me my own shortcomings. And He said: Well, should I really eradicate all evil? Then I had to sadly realize that I belong to this crowd as well. But how good that God has so much patience!
There will come a day when the angels are sent to catch and collect the evil and throw it into a fiery furnace. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s kingdom (V.43)!

Thank You, Jesus, I am not better than anyone else. Only You can make me righteous. Once I’ll be in Your kingdom and will shine carefree and happy as the sun. How fortunate that You have so much patience with me! How good that You care about me and nurture me like a small plant. You promised that I will bear good fruit; – And You will keep Your promise. You are God!!

God does not forget you!  –  2019.09.08

God does not forget you!  –  2019.09.08

God has promised: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you!”
Hebrews 13:5

When having read above verses I had the following visions: I saw God on the throne glancing at the earth as through a telescope. He was delighted! It looked so wonderful! Then He continued to turn the dial of the telescope and saw our country. Oh, how beautiful, He exclaimed very pleased. Then He saw our city and was again excited. Finally He set the telescope very sharp and found you with great joy. He only saw the wonderful, the good side in you as He had thought you to be from the very beginning. What a lovely child! I wish to bless it. So God experienced it in great joy to see it as an adult in the next moment. But this time He saw more in detail the shadows, the results of own guilt and violations of others, the sin itself in this adult and the consequences thereof. “We must help him!” God said to Jesus. We want to embrace him warmly, cleanse him. This is of course not possible with soap. It is the blood of Jesus at the cross that makes pure and innocent. At first, Gods child as an adult struggled against this loving approach. But Jesus kept knocking at his hearts door that he finally opened it, accept Him as his Lord and began to love Him. Now he blossomed into a real grown-up. Now life began to be exiting, not boring anymore at all. Joy, peace and hope is spreading. A new life out of ruins.Hallelujah! Yes, Jesus never did forget you, always watched you!
He does not want to neither forget nor forsake anyone. Everyone on this earth is worth a lot to Him even in old age with gray hairs. He remains His child!

Thank You, Jesus, You did not forget me even when I went my own way for a long time. But now You have opened my eyes, I see You want me and I say yes! Please continue to heal me, cleanse me, fill me with new life, hope and joy. You are so good to me!

A new chance  –  2019.09.07

A new chance  –  2019.09.07

And he who was seated on the throne said, „Behold I am making all things new”.
Revelations 21, 5

When we were born, we were pure and white, clean and innocent. But later other people mercilessly stepped into our small, sensitive heart and inflicted heavy wounds on us. And we ourselves played with sin and dirt and inflicted even more wounds on ourselves. The innocence, the purity, the whiteness is gone. What has remained is the dirt, the guilt, the injuries and the pain.
And there Jesus comes and says to you: “Come, give me your heart! I make everything new. – He wants to give you a pure, innocent, clean heart, a sensitive, healthy heart, for all this dirt, guilt and impurity.
A few weeks ago I found an old balloon in the bedroom behind the closet. Of course there was no more air in it, and it was totally dusty. It used to be white, but now it’s grey and black. Almost disgusting to touch such a thing. But we held it under the tap and tried to blow it up. And then we saw that someone had painted a face on the balloon, a smiley that smiles.
When we found the old thing, it looked so ugly, dirty and broken. And now, after washing and blowing it up, it looked really good.
This is how Jesus wants to do it with our lives: Purify and fill with His Spirit, the living breath. And then you can see the smile again!
Wonderful, isn’t it? – He has the power to do it.
Please, if you are such an empty, filthy, useless balloon, come to Jesus. Ask Him to make everything new. If your life has no meaning anymore, if everything is broken, if others played with your feelings and hurt you badly, if sin has you under control and enslaves you, if you yourself have loaded a lot of guilt on yourself, then come! Ask Him to make your heart new and do not let go until He has taken up residence in your heart. He loves you deeply!

Jesus, my life is meaningless, wasted, filthy. Please, come into my heart and make me new again! Clean me and heal me! I need You, Lord!

A ruler – 2019.09.06

A ruler – 2019.09.06

Then God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness. So that they may rule…
Genesis 1, 26

God rules, and man is like Him and should rule. Not only over the animals, the land, the sea and the plants, but just like God over the enemy, over his circumstances and above all over sin.
Chapter 4 is about Cain and Abel. God warns Cain of sin: isn’t it true that when you do right, you may lift your head high; if you do wrong, sin lurks at the door as a demon. He is after you, but you will be his master!
We are to rule over sin, not sin over us! Where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom and the slavery of sin has an end.
In the temptation of Jesus, the devil showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and wanted to give them to Him on condition that He worships him, that is, recognizes him as God and ruler. But Jesus said, “I will not do that. I worship God who gives me everything I need”. – Jesus did not want to seize dominion, to rule at any price. (Domination is a big problem in marriages, families and the churches; – one speaks of the spirit of Jezebel).
Jesus said of this need to dominate: “Be servants! Only he who serves may reign! Be like me, humble, gentle and kind.”
Many want to achieve liberation and dominion over certain areas of life that cause them problems through miracles of God. They travel from one conference to another and ask every available evangelist for prayer. Sometimes God performs miracles and spontaneously sets people free. Often, however, He trains a person’s will and strength and slowly brings him to dominion over all his problems. This is called maturity.
He wants us to be strong, independent, serving and humble; mature, steadfast personalities who are not easily shaken. Small babies need help everywhere, mature Christians no longer.
God wants us to rule, not over people, but over our problems. That is why we should seek Him in prayer, so that He can transform us into victorious, mature people. HE is Lord and we want to rule with Him over sin, bondage, financial and sexual problems, unemployment, hopelessness, marriage problems, dark powers, sickness and weakness.

Lord, here I am! I will seek You in prayer, all day long I will keep my eyes on You! Please, change me into a strong person with a strong faith! Help me to rule over everything that is against You!

My good reputation – 2019.09.05

My good reputation – 2019.09.05

While Jesus was having a meal in Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and other outcasts came and joined Jesus and his disciples at the table.
Matthew 9, 10

Jesus was a guest at Matthew’s, the tax collector. Publican cheated travelers and usually were quite rich people. But of course they were very unpopular and social outcasts. Only Jesus called publicans in His successor! Because:
“People who are well do not need a doctor, but only those who are sick. I have not come to call respectable people, but outcasts.” (V. 12f)
Jesus wants to save sinners, this is why He has community with them, eats with them and calls them. He had no inhibitions due to his reputation! It was more important to Him, what God thought about Him, than what people might thought. And they really were mocking Him and called Him a glutton and a drunkard.
The more we become one with Jesus and follow Him, the less it means to us, what people talk about us. It becomes less important to us and hurts less when they gossip about us. Insecure people can be beaten with some pointed remarks. But who is rooted in the Lord, stands firm. People need to be big, strong, prosperous and beautiful outwardly, so no one hurts them, but they are admired. The men have the fastest and best cars, women make themselves pretty. They find it very, very important what others think about them.
And to us it is very important what Jesus thinks about us. As soon as we begin to believe that we are very important and worthy to Him, our dependence from other people’s honor changes. We stand firmly, even when others revile. We want to sacrifice our reputation to Him and do not let us stop from doing the works that Jesus would have done in our place.

Thank you, Jesus, I’m worth a lot to You! You build me up and give me security. You hold me and comfort me when others hurt me. Yes, I’m dependent on You and want to please You. To You I sacrifice my reputation and name. It shouldn’t matter what others think about me. I want to go my way so that You like it! I will not feel to good to talk to the “outcast” and to love the “sinners”. You are my Lord and my good shepherd!

Thirst for life - 2019.09.04

Thirst for life - 2019.09.04

Jesus said in a loud voice:
“Let anyone who is thirsty come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me… rivers of living water will flow within them.”
John 7:37f

During the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem Jesus said these words to the people whom he was arguing with. They did not understand Him, were puzzled. Who is He? Is He a prophet? Is He the Messiah? Most of them rejected Him because His statements did not fit into their thinking, respectively were beyond their imagination.
Jesus can not be understood and judged with our mind, only through the Holy Spirit. He actually only challenged them: Come and try it! Find out whether I am the Son of God! Drink and quench your thirst, be filled with peace, be safed. The scribes, however, sticked to their dead letters, did not risk to go any unknown steps.
Yes this step of faith has to be done. Check it and see! It will then be revealed to you that He is the Messiah, the Redeemer, Savior who tells the truth and exposes the sin. He is the Messenger of God who speaks the truth, nothing else but what His Father tells Him. He is the way to the Lord, He is life!
All people are full of thirst for life, for harmony, peace, and joy. Only Jesus can quench it, He is the answer! He is the only One who can give peace to our troubled heart. Glory to Him, the Prince of Peace!
Many already have pondered about Jesus, have talked and discussed about Him. But only few dare to totally surrender to His love, to test His promises. But if you really are thirsty for true life and peace, long for harmony, for forgiveness of all guilt, then please open your heart and believe in Him! Honestly tell Him all about you, how big your thirst for truth is. Asked Him to come into your heart that He cares for you.
Do it with all your heart and strength, drink to the fullest and He will fill you up excessively. Try it again and again until rivers of living water will flow within you. Be sure, He will quench your thirst! If your first love has become dry then dig deeper into the well until the living water will flow again. Do not rely on “stale water” of this world. Keep on digging, do not stop talking to Jesus, tell Him all, about yours needs and expect answers! Jesus says: Who believes in Me will live forever!

Thank You, Jesus, You have everything in abundance: Eternal life, peace, harmony, love, forgiveness, and joy. You want to give it all. Yes, Lord, I am thirsty, give me to drink, let your living water flow within me. Fill me!

Kindness – 2019.09.03

Kindness – 2019.09.03

The scripture says: “It is kindness that I want, not animal sacrifices.” If you really knew what this means, you would not condemn people who are not guilty.
Matthew 12, 7

Kindness, that always sounds like warmth, or even like “hot heart” to me. If anyone sees a man, then he has a cold or warm heart for him. When His heart is cold, then he sees the errors and offenses. Is it warm, he sees chances and the good, strong sides. The Pharisees were not interested in people, they only cared whether anyone followed the rules.
When we listen to ourself what we say or even think about others, then we often realize how we get upset about outward things and possible errors. But this is not how God wants us to have! For He doesn’t deal with us this way, but sees us with eyes of love. He simply forgets our failures and constantly gives us a new start. He sees so many good sides of us and sees our possibilities! Yes, He is good and looks at us with a warm, actually even hot heart. Therefore, we want to see our fellow human beings with the eyes of Jesus and so think and talk about them as Jesus wants it.
What God requires of us, namely kindness, He is itself. He is the mercy in person. Just read the Gospels about the life of Jesus, there you will only find merciful deeds, thoughts and words. Just as He is with you. He is merciful to you. He is gracious to you. He loves you without fuss and quibble. He forgets your failure. He longs for you. Yeah, He is love and kindness in person.
If God is for us, who can be against us? Who can accuse God’s chosen people? It is God who justifies. Who can condemn? Not Christ Jesus, who died, or rather, who was raised to life and is at the right side of God, pleading with him for us! Who, then, can separate us from the love of Christ? Neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or principalities, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below – there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 8)

Thank You, Jesus, You are so full of kindness for me! Yes, I want to take Your mercy, it shall rule over me. I will bring You my concerns and needs, for You have only good thoughts about me. You are a wonderful Lord, my Savior and Redeemer!

Christ alone! – 2019.09.02

Christ alone! – 2019.09.02

In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge!
Colossians 2:3

Yes indeed, in Him, Jesus Christ, all imaginable heavenly treasures are hidden!
In this moment I am thinking of friends to whom Christ is not enough. They are longing for wordly wisdom and glory, for money. Some of them have exchanged Jesus with traditional Christian religion, have risen in church hierarchy. They speak about Jesus  without having Him in their heart, without really serving Him. What a fateful exchange!
If we want to raise the treasures which are hidden in Christ, we must invite Him to come into our heart, to have daily fellowship with Him, alone in a quiet time and together with others. Where two or three are together in His name, He is in our midst.
We may be sure that He meets all our needs. His salvation is complete.
I just heard the song: “What a beautiful name He has…!” What wonderful words of worship! I sang it right way. I came so close to Him with this praise. He is worth to be worshipped. In doing that He fills us with His Spirit, changes us, enriches us with gifts, makes us joyful, which is, by the way, then also a benefit for our health.
We should not stop worshipping Him. This truly will raise all the treasures Jesus has for us and that we need. Should He withhold something from us?
Assuredly the way to these treasures does not lead via all wisdom and literature of the world, not through courses or seminars. Only In Jesus  you find it all, in an encounter with Him! In Him is everything, life, the truth, all you need, all you desire. You get everything if you let Him enter into your heart! It is a pity that one often sees only the gifts and not the giver behind. He is the only source, the whole life, He alone!

Thank You, Jesus, You are my life, my way, my thruth. In you I find all I need, more than enough. Thank You for your presence, for the peace, joy, love, and hope You give me.

My father - 31.08.2019

My father - 31.08.2019

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of you hands.
Psalm 138, 8

Our God is not a thought construct. HE is not abstract, somewhere far away in heaven or limited to our thinking. He is active in our lives, He is close, He is interested in every little thing!
HE is a personal God. HE takes care of me. HE is my Father, my heavenly Father who loves me.
My problems are always very concrete, and His help is not good advice or nice words, but also concrete. He has a special solution for every problem. He does not make general plans or advice, but advises me personally, and He has all aspects of the problem in mind. Never a standard solution, but always individually tailored.
He has different ways and advice for everyone. HE knows exactly what is at stake. Often I have prayed for something, but HE has done something different. That was more important to him, and so it was the right order; – I understood that later.
He takes care of me. – In our meetings there are all people with problems, with big problems that cannot be solved with general advice. But HE knows everyone and knows therapy and help. He alone can comfort the heart, give joy even in difficult times, give peace to the tired heart.
When I look around, I see redeemed people. There are so many there who had unsolvable problems, but who have become free through the help of Jesus. Now they radiate the joy of God; – even if not all problems have been solved yet, they are still on their way. Wonderful!
When I was a child, I did not feel loved or accepted by anyone. But the Lord took care of me. He held His hand over me so that I would do nothing to myself and endure the pressure. Then HE let Him find Him and filled my lonely heart with His presence. Since then He has been working on me so that I can live happily, joyfully, full of peace, full of gratitude. He accepts me and makes me positive, gives me courage, consoles me with His Word, surrounds me very closely and gives me deep, firm faith in the love of the Father.
How good that I have found Him! For He takes care of me.

Thank You, Jesus! You are the God whom I love because You loved me first. With You alone I am safe!
