Peace transcending all understanding — 2016.03.06

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
Many people go in the summer at the sea or in the mountains for some days to find peace. It is very relaxing to look at the sea forgetting all sorrows. Yes, we need this peace. Too bad, that we cannot take home this peace.
God wants us to carry this peace in our heart always, during our holidays, or at home, or during our work.
And what likes to rob us this peace again and again? It are our concerns which we produce ourselves. There is our debt, which torments us. There are the "nice" people who make life difficult. There are our failures which we want to hide in fear.
God speaks to us: Stay in Jesus Christ! Do not be dependant on the opinions of others but trust the word of Him about you. Do not accept personal sensations that worry you. Why do you see bad movies and photos, hear aggressive music, or listen to agitations? Jesus has other thoughts for us. Our senses are to remain clean and pure so that His peace can be in us. What rules our heart? Are we motivated by God’s words or are we ruled by our worries, needs, and wishes?
Jesus was a human being like you and me. And yet, His only security was in God. He and His Father were one. Neither circumstance could touch Him or the talks of the people about Him. He was totally protected in Him even in the small boat inmidst of a heavy storm. On the cross He was capable to say: Father, into your hands I commit my Spirit (Luke 23:46). We wish to be like Jesus: to have peace in the storm, to be without unnecessary worries as He cares for us, having no accusations as He has forgiven, no condemnation by others as we forgive them, no fear about tomorrow as He still will be there.
My beloved Lord Jesus! Please stay in me and I will have peace. Thank You, you forgive me. Help me to forgive others always immediately, so that they will not rob my piece and go to you with accusations. I am safe in You. You comfort me always. Yes, Lord, today I want to remain in Your piece! Help!
