Power and Strength, Joy and Rejoicing – 2015.02.13

You have a powerful arm;
your hand is strong;
your strong hand is raised high!
Your throne is built on righteousness and justice;
loyal love and faithfulness stand in front of you.
The people who know the celebratory shout are truly happy!
They walk in the light of your presence, Lord!
They rejoice in your name all day long
and are uplifted by your righteousness
because you are the splendor of their strength.
your favor you make us strong
because our shield is the Lord’s own;
our king belongs to the holy one of Israel!
Psalms 89:13-18
Our God is an awesome God! Faithfulness and grace, power and strength are His hallmarks. Blessed is the people that has Him as a protector and as Lord!
This people are we Christians. In our meetings we celebrate Him, our King. They shall be full of joy and jubilation!
He is the one who stands at our side faithfully. Therefore, we can always rejoice and be thankful and rejoice about His righteousness. He is our strength, because our own strength is not always sufficient. He is our beauty, because when a person laughs with joy and smiles all over his face, it is beautiful. He is kind, full of mercy and grace. He does not take credit for our debts, but purifies us again and again. He does not deal with us as we possibly have deserved it, but is a loyal, patient, loving Father, full of mercy for His children. He is a God who overshadows all other gods; – Where is a God like Him??
Today we want to go through the day with Him, our kind, powerful and merciful Lord. We want to be grateful to Him, sing songs for Him and beam with joy. – Because He is there, faithful He stands by our side.
Thank you, Father, You are with Your children! You never abandon us, but always help. You never forget us, but care about us from morning to evening. You never get tired of us, even if we do very stupid things; – You are loyal, You have patience. You increase our strength in Your goodness, as You have promised. Yes, our shield belongs to You, our awesome Lord and King!
