Prayer without borders – 15.08.2015

For with God nothing is impossible.
Luke 1, 37
Theoretically, we know that God can do everything. He created the world, the vast cosmos, the earth and life. Nothing is too difficult for Him.
But in everyday life, unfortunately we often set him limits. We cannot imagine that he is doing things that, according to our experience, are impossible. We believe Jesus walked on the water. But our experience says that’s impossible. And that’s why we do not have confidence, that he will let us walk on water, – we cannot think like this.
Our faith is very limited when it comes to healing of seriously ill or even to the resurrection from the dead. Always, in everyday life, we rely on our experience rather than on the Almighty God. Actually, we determine what God can and cannot do. So is our thinking, but God wants to broaden the scope of our thinking.
He wants to make a "Belief course" with us. He wants us to trust him much, much more and have confidence in Him. Until we really put everything in His hands and can leave it to him. He wants to be in every respect our father, provider, Saviour and Redeemer.
It is good if we start with little things in our daily lives. For example, with a parking space, or with little things that you have lost and must laboriously look for again. Then we should turn to him and ask for help. We will soon notice: it helps really in these little things! That brings a relaxed life with him! And joy in everyday life!
We can also choose a problem and pray specifically for a long time for it. It’s just important that we also can see the "success" of prayer. When we pray for the salvation of the billion Chinese people, we will not notice whether through our prayer more people will be saved as before. I myself had prayed for a long time for a bend in the road on the way to work because there accidents constantly happened. And indeed, there were no more accidents; – Only a small beginning of prayer.
If we remember, God hears us and acts, it will increase our confidence and we will be courageous in faith. We will be happy and full of hopeful, sure in faith and grateful.
Of course, God is not a "prayer Machine". He is God. ER does not automatically met each Wishlist … but he likes to hear the prayer of His children.
Thank you, Jesus, I can trust you. Even in the chaos you show the way. How many times have you helped me! Yes, I want to have much more confidence in you. You are my friend, my helper and Good Shepherd!
