Salvation – 2020.03.04
An angel appeared Joseph in a dream and said:
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,
because He will save His people from their sins.
Matthew 1:21
Above verse is a true gospel word, a joyful, redeeming message! Jesus is the man who will save His people. He is the Redeemer, King of Kings to whom all thanks and praise belong.
To be saved from sins… how does that work? That means forgiveness of all guilt. Jesus took all the blame on the cross, endured the pain, suffered the punishment. If you believe that, God will forget your guilt. The Holy Spirit helps you thereby. He will also ensure that all your self-reproaches will have an end. That is the second step of redemption, the release of all accusations against oneself.
The third step is the forgiveness of guilt others have done to us. And also here we need the power of the Holy Spirit who takes out of our heart all thoughts of revenge, bitterness, and self-pity.
A forth fruit of the Holy Spirit is the liberation from lying, stealing, and cursing. The bond with the sin is broken forever! Jesus lives now in us. Sin has no more power over us. Also many small stupid habits we will overcome with Him.
A further fifth step will help us to get rid of all addictions. That may mean struggle but Jesus is victorious!
As a sixth gift we will be freed from curses, burdens of our parents which have to be precisely named.
Jesus means freedom! He has come to destroy the works of the devil.
And last but not least, we will receive a new heart as seventh gift, which praises God, lives in peace with Him in indescribable joy that we never have experience before. God in our midst, one with us! That is salvation – Hallelujah!
Thank You, Jesus! You are the only way to God! Save me, You are my Redeemer!
