Spirit of worry, go away! – 2017.04.26
Jesus says:
Do not worry about your life…
Matthew 6:25
He continues: Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (Matthew 6:26).
It seems as if the birds in heaven have only the task to whistle, to chirp, and to jubilate to the honor of God.
And God feeds them.
And we? We are worrying about any possible matter. Certainly there are big problems sometimes and heavy burdens lie on our shoulders. But up to now our Father has helped us always and everywhere. This we shoud not forget. With Him and His power we could escape out of every dangerous situation. Why we should allow the worries to rule us? Why we accept to be scared instead of being free and praising the Lord in joy? Even in greatest distress you can praise Him because He is Lord of all who cares for you.
Necessary precautions are good and have to be carried out as also the Bible teaches us. So we should be insured against illness and age. But always God has first place in us, never a spirit of worry which He does not like at all.
Yes, you have to take care about many good things: Whether the work is running well, whether the children have something good to eat, whether my service in the the community is sufficient. All these things should bless us and should be done in the freedom of faith and to the glory of God. Why we do not trust God and give our best in His strength? He cares for us! We should do it like the farmer who plow the acre and sow trusting that God will send the sun and the rain at the right time.
So if we really trust God we are free of all worries. He always is present and cares for us. With thanks and trust we start to work and God will bless that and will do all other things. Then we will praise Him like the birds in the sky with joy and free. Yes, He gives us everything we need: Food, clothes, to drink, a roof over your head, work, and all that in peace and power of the Holy Spirit.
We want to rejoice in Him even in difficult times. We are free of worries and command all spirits of anxiety to go! For He cares for us.
Thank you, Jesus, You are a good Lord. I can trust You and let You do. You care for me. All spirits of worries – go! I trust You, Lord.
