The Call II. – 2015.11.09

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world ….
1. Corinthians 1:26-27Most of the times people reject Gods call and make up excuses like, they are to small, to tall, to young, to old, to sick, to … No! They can’t do that! They can’t speak in public! – It’s always the same fight. God is calling us and is willing to gift us with the required talents but we don’t want to do it. I fact, we would rather run away. But God is victorious, don’t worry! Given some time we return to Gods hand and He can give us the talents we use to become a blessing.
Some people think they fount their calling. Actually God did not call them. So everyone should use the bible to test every calling. There once was a man who left his family for a young woman, since with her on his side he could preach much better. So he thought but God did not bless that whole en devour. And there was a woman with four children. She wanted to go to Brazil to evangelize the indigenous people in the rain forest. But her children were her true calling. We always have brothers and sisters to our side to check on us! And those who are to proud to let themself be checked can take a deep fall.
God is calling us into His service! We can wait and live our daily lives according to the bible until He calls us. Don’t be afraid when He does call! He is with us and we will be a blessing. You don’t need to worry about not hearing His call. He will call you in a way that you will hear Him. But we should be worried about not accepting His call and turn our focus to other things. Things like wealth, the pseudo wisdom of esoterism, or other hobbies will not take our focus off God.

Thank You Jesus, for I can trust you! You called me for something that is well beneath my abilities and that worries me. But with You at my side I can do it. Good to be in Your hand!. Good to have brothers and sisters by my side. Lord Your will shall be done!
