Jesus says:
I am the gate;
whoever enters through Me will be saved.
He will come in and go out, and find pasture.
John 10:9
Jesus is the gate to true living! With all His heart God wanted to save men also when Noah built the ark. All who passed the gate were saved.
Only few stayed alive at that time. Nobody wanted to believe God. They all preferred to do what was pleasing them. Nobody listened to the warnings of Noah.
Today there are many problems to be seen in the world: Wars, civil wars, earthquakes, floodings, etc and there are no solutions. These crisis scare us. However, being far away we try to ignore them. We carry on living as before. But suddenly the crises is inmidst of us – what shall we do then?
Jesus is the gate into the ark, in true security and life. He offers space therein for each single person. It is beautiful there! The piece of God rules, there is joy and everyone is singing and dancing. There is fat pasture; He knows our needs and provides us with everything. We can go in and out and find the best pasture. We can go to quiet waters to restore our soul. We can sit at a richly prepared table in the presence of our enemies, our cups are overflowing. Yes, in Him is everlasting life!
The enemy is a liar. He comes to steal, to slaughter, and to destroy. Jesus came that we may have life and everything in abundance.
The gate into the ark is narrow. It is impossible to pass it with a packback of problems. Jesus wants to empty this bag first. All debts will be taken away, all woundings healed, all chains broken. He is our good Shepherd.
Thank you, Jesus, You are my Ark! In this Ark I am safe. No storm and no enemy can seriously harm me. You are my good Shepherd, who cares for His sheeps. In You there is rescue also when we are in greatest trouble for your Name is Redeemer, Saviour, and Helper.
