Go and make the people holy. Say, ‘Get ready for tomorrow by making yourselves holy. This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: “Israel! Things reserved for me are present among you. You won’t be able to stand up to your enemies …“
Joshua 7:13
Israel had won a great victory at Jericho and thought the little Ai we can conquer very easy. But they had to flee from the enemies and some were killed. And Joshua came before the LORD, with his face to the earth, and lamented his suffering. But God said: Oh! Israel has sinned! I can not help you, first sanctify yourselves! Remove the evil from your midst!
There was a man who had taken a coat, some gold and silver from Jericho, even though everything was dedicated to the Lord. He had buried the treasures in his tent. God revealed this man and Israel could get sanctified and ix up the things with God.
Actually it was not a very big deal, but the spiritual effects were devastating: Israel could not withstand the attack of enemies.
This morning God showed me that there are some things of me that I like to "conceal"; – It would be embarrassing for me if everyone knew it. They are "hidden" like the coat, the gold and silver were buried (what use does a buried treasure have?). God reminded me to put this into order! – And I gladly do it. Actually it charges me. I would like to be constantly with God, I want to stand before Him pure and holy, without feeling guilty or any shadow in my heart. I thank the Lord for His patience with me and for His meekness. He "criticizes" so that I can accept it. He does not condemn, but helps himself that I can let go everything that does not please Him. It is a relief and no punishment for me. We have a wonderful, patient, gentle God! We have a holy Lord who is no friend of injustice and hidden things!

Thank you, Father, I can entrust You everything. You do not condemn me. You want me to be free, unencumbered, pure and holy. Thank you that You yourself care about it and I just need to accept Your handshake. You are my wonderful God!
