The level ground – 2014.11.12

My feet stand on level ground;
in the great congregation I will praise the Lord.
Psalm 26:12
My foot doesn’t always stand on the level ground. Sometimes my knee shake and my strenghts leave me. If there was no solid ground, I would fall. But I am standing not in the mud or on the ice, I am standing on the ground, which the Lord has laid! HE is the one who holds me and saves me.
His word is faithful and true. HE keeps His promises. Past generations have experienced this long ago and we experience it too. HE is for us, His redeemed children! They are so precious to Him. HE does not leave them to the storms of life or the hand of the enemy. The more they call upon Him, the closer He is. The more we cling to Him, the stronger HE keeps us. Therefore no one will be disappointed who builds on him. HE is the strongest!
HE should check my heart, whether it is really up to him. Whether I love Him above anyone else and belong only to Him. HE should search me, whether there are shadows in my heart. He should check whether I’ve joined the wicked and told to them what they wanted to hear. His grace is over me, and I will not lose it y sitting with the wicked and living like them. Lord, try me!
"Vindicate me, Lord, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered.Test me, Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness. I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with hypocrites. I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked. I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, Lord, proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds. Lord, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells." (V. 1-8)

Yes, Lord, I’m standing on the level ground, because You hold me. I bind myself to You and seek Your face. I want to hear Your Word and trust it. Because You have never disappointed me or forgotten. You keep your promises!
