The Lords Word – 2016.12.19

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Psamls 27, 14
Yesterday was a bad day. There was fighting, quarreling, bad defamation, lies, attacks, and misrepresentations all day. Such a day is horrible.
In the evening it became quiet and I read the Psalms. The Psalms are consolation and confidence. They are prayers that please God and give comfort and new hope to us.
Now I’ll give a taste of those verses that give consolation and comfort.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23:6)
No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. (Psalm 25:3-4)
All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant. (Psalm 25:10)
Who, then, are those who fear the Lord? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose. (Psalm 25:12)
The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. (Psalm 25:14)
My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare. (Psalm 25:15)
Test me, Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;(Psalm 26:2)
My feet stand on level ground; in the great congregation I will praise the Lord.(Psalm 26:12)
The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.(Psalm 27:3-5)
My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek. (Psalm 27:8)
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.(Psalm 27:14)

Thank You Lord, for your word! Truly, it is uplifting, gives consolation, and new hope! It is so good that we have it! Thanks You for talking to us! Thank You, for protecting me! Thank You, for I am sheltered under Your strong wing!
