“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the one who is and was and is coming, the Almighty.”

Jesus is the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. He is the first in our life, because He created us. He is the last person in our life because we will once stand before Him. Everything revolves around Him, like a wheel always rotates around the axis. All spokes of the wheel should be well-ordered and show to the middle, then it rotates well. If they get mixed up, the wheel is no longer usable. When all the things in our lives rotate around Jesus, it’s okay: He is the center, everything is turning around Him, He holds everything together. If this center isn’t there anymore, it is no longer a wheel.
HE is the goal. Whether I eat or work, read or drive: I’ll do it with Him and for Him. HE is there. He determines my life. I’m in His hands. Just as He was there yesterday, He is with me right now and He will be there tomorrow. HE is and is and is. Thank You, Jesus, You’re here!
He is the ruler of the creation. However much the people are raging, however much the rulers still feel so mighty: Jesus has the last word! He elects governments and brings down governments. He is the King of Kings. He shields His people from the arbitrariness of the powerful. He redeems His people as He lead Israel out of Egypt.
We believe in the most powerful Lord of this world: Jesus Christ!

Thank You, Jesus, You’re such a mighty king, do not forget me yet. For others, I’m just one number among many, but for You I am valuable as a diamond. You are with me today, so I don’t need to fear. You will always be with me, even in my death hour. You will carry me through! Yes, Jesus, with You I am safe and secure.
