Through the Darknes – 20.10.2014
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
Psalm 6,9
It is nice if you are in a big trouble and realize God is still there! HE hears and accepts my prayer. I’m not alone! HE is still the Lord above all else.
Sometimes you feel exposed to the wrath of God – there is so much God can be angry with. It is as if all the waves of His anger engulf us. Sometimes we are oppressed by our old sins and we feel punished. Sometimes our bodies do not want to and we have all sorts of terrible burdens. Sometimes even death wants to take us. Somehow there is no hope!
Then the man cries out for help and turns to God. And God does not reject our prayer, HE hears our prayers! HE is not a machine, which gives the desired help immediately. He gives a lot more – He gives Himself. And with HIM we can go through everything. HE takes us by hand like a little child and runs with us through the darkness to the purpose. He knows the way. With Him I can feel safe and secure, even if I still do not see any light.
Yes, my God hears and accepts my prayer.
Thank you, Jesus, You are with me, even if I see no light! You alone are my hope and my help. In the greatest distress You are with me and you have promised never leave me, forget me or let me down. No one can tear me from your strong hand, not even death. You are the Winner, the Strenght, God who loves me!
