Then rejoice in all the good things the Lord your God has given to you and your family.
Deuteronomy 26:11

You are confronted with many serious things in connection with God, however, with joy, feasts, a happy get-together as well. Yes indeed, basically the joy is even the final goal of our faith! In fact we often get lost inmidst of many problems and forget to enjoy time.
When we throw all sorrows onto God and take care that we really let them with Him, then we are free to celebrate. For this reason God has created the Shabbat and instructed to have certain biblical holidays. He made it even more clear and says that the rigtheous are celebrating God each day.
Indeed we should enjoy each day, should enjoy the beautiful flowers, the sun, the wind, the clouds, the stars, the water, everything what God has created. It was created for our joy. He gave us all, the music, the colours, the gestures and emotions. He likes to please His children. He wants us to be happy. We really can be relaxed, simply happy like children.
Throw away your burden and come to the feast of the Lord! Forget about your sorrows, your concern about your wealth, your family, your work, your health and last not least the problems with your thick ego. Be released from any pressure, come and accept the joy offered by God to all His children.
Do not look always to the ground where you only see trash, dust and dirt. Lift up your eyes to Him, who is stronger than everything which wants to pull us down. Then we are filled with joy!
Trust Him only and you need not to fight with problems constantly and worry about your well-being. You are then ready to receive the joy of the Lord!
Yes, Jesus, pour out Your spirit of joy over us! We want to be glad and blessed for You are our Redeemer! We give You our burden and let You take care for our problems. How wonderful that You are our best, strongest, and powerful Helper and Saviour.
