You have filled my heart with greater joythan when their grain and new wine abound.I will lie down and sleep in peace,for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.Psalm 4 : 7+8Yes, what we want more than joy and peace? God likes to bless us with them all provided we trust Him. Even in midst of chaos His peace is strong.
Others have to hurry, to work, to care, and to gather restlessly, we, however, may remain tranquil. He cares for us.
Others are troubled by all possible problems, by the radio news, by the doctor who nods his head doubtfully, by the daily concerns, by the gossips of others, by the threatening lost of work, in view of getting old and ill … We may remain tranquil and find comfort and strength in the presence of God.
He is the One who pours joy into my heart more then men can give although they seem to have in abundance and celebrate always. He is the One who wraps me in peace even when others talk bad about me and want to ruin me. He takes away my worries and gives me carefree rest.
This relationship with God we have to exercise daily. We can learn it to go to our heavenly Father immediately whenever something is troubling us to hand over the matter to Him and not be worried any longer. We can learn it to do our work in totally trusting God. He blesses our work if we trust Him. He is pleased when we go together with Him through the day and notice His small miracles. He is a powerful, loving and kind Father.
Thank you, Jesus, I am God`s child! He is my Father, who cares about me. I may remain tranquil because You are there. You hold me, keep me. In peace I can work and sleep. You are watching over me. You are my wonderful Lord.
