Trusting with the Heart – 2015.06.26

Trusting with the heart leads to righteousness, and confessing with the mouth leads to salvation. The scripture says, All who have faith in him won’t be put to shame.
Romans 10:10f
I think of Abraham. How many times he must have stand outside at night, watching the starry night sky. He had sorrows, because he had no children, no one to whom he could bequeath his wealth. Yet God had assured him: You’ll have descendants as numerous as the stars! Now he was old and his wife also. How could that work? He looked at the stars for the thousandth time, trying to count them. Vast expanses, infinite sizes …
But he also saw the greatness of God, His omnipotence, His reign, and he always got new faith in this great God. In the silence this faith was born and became a firm foundation for Abraham. Outside, he could talk to his God and he realized God’s presence and care. Yes, he trusted with the heart and confessed: God is there, He is the Great, Almighty, the Rescuer and Helper!
He did not know how God could fulfill His promise. But now he knew God. He held on to him tightly, not to the limited opportunities that he himself had. He had no Bible yet, in which he could read of God’s Word. He had only Him personally.
It is good that we have the Bible. There are God’s words and promises on which we can build. But we do not intend to take it as an agreement which we can use against God. We must seek Him personally and trust in Him alone. We want to talk to Him for He wants to apply His Word in our situation. We will believe Him, we trust Him and go with Him through thick and thin. He leaves no one perish who believes in Him. We want to keep His word and do not let us worry by any thoughts. No, we want to be strong and cling to Him. Really, He never let anyone perish who believes in Him.
Sometimes we misunderstood His Word and were disappointed when His Word did not came true as we had understood it. But He uses the disappointment that we seek Him more and do not hope for fulfillment in wrong principles.
All your worries throw upon Him, because He cares for you!
Thank you, Jesus, in You I can see how God is. Thank You that I could get to know the Heavenly Father. He is kind and merciful, patient and loyal. I cling myself to Him, my good and faithful God.
