What we are talking about – 2016.10.16

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart,
and a evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.
For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Luke 6:45

And about what we are talking all day? Some about football, my son does it presently about basketball. Others talk about their new cars or about their new clothes, and others discuss about politics, wars, or economics… .There are so many things which are interesting us. Then some tell about their holidays: the hotel was not so good, the service was bad. the sea too cold, the beach too dirty…, somhow everything was awful and terrible. Could it be that that everything was against us?
Sometimes 2 people speak about the same thing. One is happy and satisfied and the other sees only the hair in the soup, so that you think that they speak about different items.
What our heart is full of? Are we grumbling people? Always discontent, always thinking, it should have been better!
No, we better should watch how Jesus talked. Why people loved so much to stay with Him? He spoke frankly and truly and not according to the expectation of the people. He never accused people, mocked or degraded them. He saw the good in the people, God`s possibilities and always was glad to see them. He approached them in a positiv way, spoke to them positively. He did it with thanks for He saw the activity of the Lord everywhere. He was kind, gentle, humble, powerful, compassionate, and full of joy and hope. He really was an attractive personality.
If you carefully check about what you are daily talking you are able to realize whether you are living in the line with Jesus and decide to come back to Him. When our heart is full of Him and the Holy Spirit can work in us without limit, then we will speak good words, will bring good fruits. If Jesus is not in us then we speak words of an old fleshy man. We realize that the fat, strong egoism returned. We, then, quickly say goodbye again to our old ego and ask Jesus to fill our heart again. Yes, we want to throw away everything what is separating us from Him.
Thank You, Jesus, You purify my heart and my tongue. Be the source of my words! My old ego has to be buried with all my longings, jealousy, bitterness, and dissatisfactions, they all want to come back from time to time. But with Your help I will resist and only speak life-giving good words, words of comfort, healing, gratitude, and joy.
