Isa 6, 5
Isaiah saw the Lord around on the throne and the angels around Him, the brightness of the glory, joy and peace without end. He was carried away by all this splendor. And he was one with the Lord, in complete harmony with the Almighty. Then he heard the voice that said, ‘Whom shall I send? Who will be my messenger? Isaiah could not help it: He said: Here am I, send me! That was an answer that came from deep within his heart. Because God Himself sent Jesus, His only Son; and was send to us humans. He did not spare himself, but lived as a man, with all needs and with all the limitations. He let himself be hostile, endured insults endured hunger, thirst, heat and cold, for God had sent him. And now Isaiah wanted to be the messenger for the love and power of God, for His mercy on us and His grace, for His joy and His peace.
We can only hear the call of the heart of God when we live very closely with him and know his voice. Then we can also say: Lord, send me. Then we know the heart’s desire of God to send light in this dark world.
Some say a sense of duty: Send me! And they exert themselves too much. Their conscience drives. But their strength wanes quickly. Some know this verse and want to strive for great things for God. But without humility and the ability to be like Jesus, the battle is lost. Some know the law and want to follow Jesus. But as they imagine it, they did not get far.
Only listening to the heart of God enables us to be a messenger of His love. I must, must, must, duty calls me to be a witness, I always have to be kind and forgive all …. These constraints are certainly not of God. He will send for people who love Him with heart and rest in His peace. All others send themselves and go on their own.
Seeking the Lord with all your heart, listen to His soft voice and face him, being completely available. He’s all yours, and you are totally his ; – That’s how it should be.
He always says: Do not be afraid! I do not know what considerations prevent you from giving yourself to this loving Lord completely. Therefore He says: Do not be afraid! Everything is in my strong hand. Also, you lie in it. No one can resist you. I myself am with you. Fear not!
O Lord, I realize my make myself available, send me! Because you are love without end. You mean well with me. Send me to those who need your love !!
