Carry each other`s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2
As a young Christian I had a lot of difficulties because I was not like I wanted to be. I had my own perfect ideas about the Law and failed completely. That was truly terrible! The Law of Christ is, however, totally different. I only did not understand that. When I then studied the many biblical rules which God had given to His people I was even more discouraged. Also within the church life there were many regulations, inclusive the unwritten ones, how a Christian should behave and what he should not do. I did my very best but it was not enough by far. But then God had mercy on me and revealed to me how to understand it correctly. When I remain in Christ I am not able to steal something from my brother as in Jesus name I love him. Also I will not knock down my neighbour who is loved by God. I cannot lie and love God at the same time. I cannot cheat my wife when I value and honor her. I fulfill all these commandments if I remain in Jesus. And much more: The faith which is active within the love of Jesus is not able to harm the neighbour, will only bless him instead. In order to do all things rightly God poured out the Holy Spirit into my heart. He will lead me correctly in all matters and surely I accept Him as my only guide. From now on I will not consider it as a sin not to fulfill all these rules. My only fault will be not to listen to the Spirit of God which speaks to me through the bible or directly into my heart. I have to seek God and to live in Jesus to do His will.
Thank you, Jesus, that you redeemed me from the curse of law. With your help I always will listen to You and will not forget that Your love is the guiding principle of my thoughts and actions. You have set me free; never again I will get under the yoke of law even though it should appear to be good. I only will live in You, my beloved Lord!
