The Joy from the Lord – 2015.03.24

Don’t be sad, because the joy from the Lord is your strength!
Nehemia 8:10
If we are one with the Lord, then our hearts are filled with joy. We feel strong, because He is there. We’re not worried, because He cares for us. Yes, if we are one with Him …
But the lie destroys this oneness. Unfortunately, we always believe the tall tales of the enemy! He deceives us into thinking that we lack something to be happy. As Eva necessarily wanted to eat this fruit, although there were plenty of others. The lie tells us that something bad will happen. And we believe and are starting to get worried. The lie means we need to do this and that, reaching a specific goal and pursue it with all our effort. But the goal is a mirage, we will never get there. The lie says we need another partner and if we believe it, we soon are unfaithful. The lie makes the parents bad and we rebel against them. The lie thinks we can just take what we need – And become a thief. The lie says, life is unpleasant, too difficult, the child is superfluous – And we become a suicide or murderer.
The lie makes us believe that other people are bad; – And we tell much bad about other people. The lie thinks only we have been wronged – And we are bitter, caught in negative thinking. Greed, envy, pride, evil tongues, bitterness, murder, theft, unfaithfulness …. all this is involved into lies.
That’s why we want to remain in the Lord and His Word. He gave us a framework in which we can move safely – These are His commandments. He himself will dwell in our hearts, so that He can warn us. He himself wants to forgive and forget our sins because He loves us and wants to start every morning with us again and again. Then we can breathe again, the burden is gone. Then we can sing happily and thank Him, for we are one with Him again.
Father, save me from sin! I do not believe the lies of the enemy, but I believe You and Your word! Please uncover, where lies control myself, and where a wrong thinking captivates me. Thank you, You have patience with me and bring me back to the right path again and again. Yes, I belong to You and want to be with You. You are my good God!
