Let all the people thank you!
Let the people celebrate
and shout with joy
because you judge the nations fairly
and guide all nations on the earth.
Psalms 67:3f
God’s goal is salvation. He wants to liberate us and all people from the dictatorship of evil. Whether it is a lie or ambition, theft, corruption or pride: He wants to eliminate the injustice. He wants that justice prevails and that men and nations rejoice. Joy is the measure of whether God reigns!
There is a lot of injustice. And even the best rulers and democracies, etc. are not without flaws. But where God is pushed away and it is not ruled as He wants it, there people reign by the system of the enemy: Controlling, suppressing, enriching themselves, lying. God wants that the reign is performed like He shows us! And HE will prevail it.
Then there will be good times! The nations will sigh with relief and rejoice and give thanks to God. God makes no exception: All peoples are freed and will cheer, even our people! Although we might not see much of it right now, it will happen. And we eagerly await it and work out that God takes up the rule. We are His pioneers who pave the way for God to the heart of our people.
We do not want to get tired and get discouraged. But again, look to Jesus Christ, in whom all power, justice, wisdom, compassion and wealth lie. He is our Savior!
Thank you, Jesus, You have not forgotten my people! You see the injustices and hardships. And You will respond. You will use people who reign according to Your example. You yourself will come and redeem the nations. Then there is joy and jubilation! Thanks, You are stronger than our enemy!
