Lord, listen to my voice when I cry out
have mercy on me and answer me!
Come, my heart says, seek God’s face.
Lord, I do seek your face!
Psalms 27, 7f
Sometimes we are filled up with our problems and concerns and there seems to be no way out. Since it is important to turn to the Lord. He is still the Lord above all else! And for Him, nothing is impossible! But, I can not hear His voice. Because I am constantly chattering Him with my problems and concerns. Or someone is constantly talking to me and my surrounding area fills me up, so I can not seek the Lord. Then I have to get out, into the silence, to a place where I’m alone with Him. There, I can be silent and let Him speak. He has words of comfort; with Him, in His strong arms I am safe. It is so beautiful that the Lord understands my situation and has a way. It is not always the way I wish it to be, but always as He considers it best. Despite all the difficulties, He is the Lord. Him I can trust and confide everything that makes me sad. He hears the cries and lamentations of His children and never abandons one of them. As a dear father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on us.Thank you, Father, You are the God of all comfort. Even in the sharpest pain You can give consolation. Where no solace acts, Your mercy is stronger! Thank You that Your love keeps me so strong.
