"Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,"
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10

Thinking of this, my mind settles down again! There is so much that wants to unsettle me, but when I read this verse from the bible all thoughts that make me unease disappear. He is so very close to me! Maybe yesterday He was a little upset with me but His mercy is all new today. Yesterday was full of anger, stress, and turmoil, today He is my Lord again. Hills and even Mountains can shake – especially the mountains of sorrow – but His love is unchangeable and His peace reigns ethereally. That’s promised by my Lord, who has compassion on me.
It doesn’t matter if an army lays siege to me or sickness struck me down He is still the Lord who has compassion on me. When I grew old and weak He will there still and He will be carrying me. He is patient with me and He is leading me on the right path. Today is the day of His compassion!
Then I become still for a few minutes. And I realize: Gods promised that He will be with me and that He has compassion on me. Today I will hold Him to this promise, so there is nothing that could trouble me.
Today is the day His grave as well as the covenant of peace will be with me! Today is the day He is compassionate for me! This is the reason I celebrate this day and why I thank Him with all my heart. Truly, He gives me safety, joy, peace, and mercy. My mind can stay relaxed and I can start the day with joy, because He is with me!

Thank You Father, for You are my best friend! You are strong and mighty, I’m protected in Your hands. You are omniscient, at Your side I can stay calm. You are my comforter, helper, adviser, king, and friend. Do I need more? Thank You for this day!
