Strength Lies In Peace – 2015.05.15
Jesus says: "Come to me, all you who are struggling hard and carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28
Jesus knew the secret: He spent many nights in prayer. Again and again He sought the presence of God despite of all work. Again and again He asked for advice and help. And God gave Him peace in the middle of all storms.
Moses knew the secret as well. Whenever there were important questions and problems, he went to the Lord and waited for his decisions.
There are many leaders, chiefs, pastors, fathers, teachers, etc, who have a lot struggle with their responsibilities. It oppresses them and sometimes they hardly find some sleep. The concerns revolve in their mind and do not come to rest. For them, the Council of Jesus applies: Come! Give me your load, I will give you rest.
If we manage to really unload our troubles with the Lord, His heavenly peace comes into our hearts. And we should hold on to it and not fall back into the old concern at the first opportunity! He has promised … .. – so we should defend ourselves and fight for our peace.
Isaiah 30:15 puts it in the Bible as follows: In return and rest you will be saved. Quietness and trust will be your strength. And a proverb says: Strength lies in peace.
Thank you, Jesus, in You I can completely trust! My strength is not enough to get everything done. And my wisdom is not enough to solve all the problems. But You are there. I will hand over my burdens, which press and oppress me. And I take on the load that You want to give me; because Your burden is light and Your yoke does not oppress me. You are good, meek, humble, patient and kind.
