What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that
wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in Heaven is not willing that any of these little ones (children) should perish.

Already several times I have lost my way in my life, have forgotten Jesus. But always He got up to find me and talked to me in love until I was again nearby Him. Not the worst sins had bound me, but I was stubborn and little proud. I was often looking for my own way and got lost. But not He! He always found me.
You may be sure, you can endless be away from Him, Jesus is there. He sees you in midst of the most heaviest sins, talk to you and invite you with love and patience to return to Him. He does not blame you. He anyhow knows everything about you. He loves His children and never will forsake them. If necessary He waits until they are nearly to die. With hot longing He awaits that you say again yes to Him and regret how rude you have dealt with His love. Yo have ignored or even pushed back the Only One who unconditionally loves you, who sacrified His life for you. Never He will leave any of His children to the enemy! He had paid a too high price for them.
It could be that we are like the elder 2nd lost son. With the right teaching we go to church. We know everything about Jesus. Yet, we do not talk to Him, do not hear His voice. It is like an old married couple whose love got cold. They have nothing to say to one another, live side by side in emptiness. Their love has died.
Jesus seeks the lost, the children who had gone astray. If we are now one of them, we may be certain that He is there and wants to bring us back. I say yes! I will! Back in His arms and rest at His heart! I need Jesus!
You are my good shepherd, Jesus. With you I have all what my soal seeks. I have really all for my body, spirit, and soal. You are the fulfillment of my desire. You hold me tight even when my own strength is not sufficient anymore.
