I have told you these things, so that in me you may have piece. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
Yes, Jesus is right: Always and everywhere there is trouble. We are facing steadily new difficulties. There are always again disagreements, disputes, and personal attacks. The enemy wants to make our life difficult wherever possible. Neither our fellow men are angels. They like to take advantage out of us, they lie, and some people even cheat and steel us. Also healthproblems are worrying us. The age robs us the power. Accidents happen to us. Our own wrong decisions bring us into severe trouble sometimes. Our own ego is often repulsive, quarrelsome, jealous, and envious. The list of trouble is endless. Everything can happen to us and make life difficult.
How wonderful, that we have Jesus as our Saviour! In Him my heart finds rest. He is forgiving my debt and helps me to forgive others. So I am able to meet them without bitterness. In midst of heavy disputes and greatest troubles we find peace in Him. Yes, He is the Lord who still controlls everything.
This peace of Jesus in my heart is very, very important to me. I am not able to keep same for ever as putting it on a stock, I always need the presence of Jesus to receive His peace which is only possible if I totally trust Him. Really, my doubts and my little-faith could destroy it. I have to keep hold of this precious piece with utmost are. Therefore I start listening to him already in the morning and keep in touch with him the whole day through talking with him. In the evening I give to him all my restlessness and arrange and discuss with him all items which have disquiet me during the day. Only then I can go further on the path of piece resisiting all trouble. He is the victor! He really has overcome the world. In faith I can believe it which bring me to the winner side. How wonderful it is to rest at the heart of our King. The world may perish, I am safe in the strong hands of Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus, for your piece! There is nothing more precious here on earth. Even when there are storms and thunder You are Lord in whom I can trust. Yes, with You I am safe and secure. You are always in control of all, have answers to all my questions and hold me tight in Your strong hands.
