You do not want to leave too, do you?
Jesus asked the Twelve.
Simon Peter answered Him:
“Lord, to whom we shall go?
You have the words of eternal life.
John 6:67f

Jesus addressed above words to His 12 disciples after many Jews had turned away from Him because of His challenging speeches that they did not endure. The disciples, however, wanted to stay with Him. Whereelse should they go? They have realized that He has words of eternal life. He is the Holy One of God, His Son and Ambassador and not just any human being.
Jesus said it is the Spirit, not the flesh which gives life. This in fact is not easy to understand. But what did the Lord at the beginning of the creation? He breathed into man`s nostrils His breath, the breath of life so he was able to communicate with his Lord freely. But then came the fall, the rebellion, that plunged mankind into spiritual darkness. Now Jesus has come to give back light to man, to breathe new life.which eliminates spiritual darkness. Now the man can again have fellowship with God, can confidently communicate with Him. They are one again!
However, many do not understand that and reject the offer of redemption. They still want to see only miracles, want always new teachings, new rituales. But the truth is not a mere theological doctrine, a dogma, it is a person: Jesus! From Him comes the truth, He says words of eternal life.
This Jesus the desciples did not want to leave neither do we. No, we want to get to know Him better and better, want to praise Him, to talk with Him more and more deeply as He has words of eternal life for us.

Thank You, Jesus, You are wondeful! My soul is lifting You up for You are my Savior and Redeemer. You have released me out of darkness, called me into Your presence. You have words of eternal life for me!
